Hellllooooo Peeps!
So as many of you now know, I am not just a fully fledged UniSlimmer, but I am also the newest employee at Team UniSlim!
What an incredible journey. Someone said to me recently "Would you have ever thought that when you decided to join UniSlim, you would lose weight but gain a career"? What a difference that little decision to go to class has made to my life! The butterfly effect maybe?
Starting a new job is always daunting. New people, new surroundings, new role, new boss....but to be quite honest, the night before I started, I wasn't a bit nervous. Through the UniSlim Clubs facebook page, I have always felt like I was part of something bigger, a motley crew, all with the same goals and dreams. It's great that this "gang" of ours really does feel like a family.
I think that's what sets UniSlim apart (you know me, I have tried them all at this stage!).
Since starting my new job, I have had to make some adaptions to my daily life - including two of my biggest fears....Early Mornings and Public Transport. Haha! To be honest, I thought I may actually die getting used to the early mornings. I am a night owl. Doing musicals has re-arranged my body clock, so I peak at about 9pm. But, 1 month in and I am up and at 'em bright and early, it hasn't been even half as hard as I anticipated! And as for the bus, so long as I have my book or my phone, I am sorted!
My job is a fast paced one, but its great to be in direct contact with all you lovely people, helping each other. I am a still a member at the heart of things, still maintaining my weight and like you all, some weeks I do great, some weeks I need a little slap from my leader (the lovely Fiona Lycett). I am hoping to go on holidays in about 5 weeks and have my target set! With the help of Fit Friday, I am planning on looking and feeling better than ever! Even when you hit your target, you have to keep setting mini goals for yourself - be it in terms of fitness, a certain dress or pair of jeans you want to fit into, or maybe your BMI. Visualising goals has always been something that has driven me to stay focussed.
I have always found that the online support that comes with UniSlim - Facebook/Twitter, to be the thing that keeps me on track from class to class. If you aren't involved in the banter, do come and chat!
Keep kickin' fats ass!
