I always had to watch my weight, but it wasn’t until I became very sick and had two major surgeries – I had my kidney and spleen removed – that things changed. I used to walk a lot, but because I was so ill I stopped and the weight started to creep on. I was also suffering from IBS and acid reflux – I had to take tablets to digest food – so my health and body was quite unsettled.
NEVER LOOK BACK
I started to feel a lot better about a year ago so I decided it was time to get into shape. I joined Unislim and it’s definitely been a life-changing experience. From my very first class (after which I lost six pounds!) I’ve never looked back.

My Class Leader, Orla, has been fantastic! I’ve never missed a class and I always stayed for the meeting afterwards. I think that made all the difference. The support system has been absolutely amazing.
Before Unislim
IT'S LIFE-CHANGING
I took up running again and within three weeks of joining Unislim I felt so healthy again. I came off the tablets for my acid reflux, and my IBS is so much better. In fact, I saw my doctor a couple of weeks ago and she couldn’t get over how well I looked. I didn’t even need to get a prescription for my tablets because I don’t need them anymore. It has changed everything in my life and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done.
KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL
Breakfast: Big bowl of chopped fruit, with blueberries, kiwis, prunes, apricots, and a tub of probiotic yoghurt.
Snack: I usually have fruit pieces in jelly on my break. I work in a supermarket, but I always bring my food from home. That way, I’m never tempted to eat something I shouldn’t.
Lunch: Cold meat and salad.
Dinner: For dinner tonight I’m having steak, mushrooms, mashed turnip, carrots and broccoli.
