What made you join Unislim, Audrey?
I had tried everything from allergy testing to slimming pills to a caffeine diet and I would lose a few pounds and gain it again not getting anywhere. I would try on a good few out fits before going out but end up taking it back off. I was so desperate to lose any weight at all. I started walking three miles a day to lose weight and then a friend told me about Unislim - at first I didn't want to go as I had tried slimming classes before and I didn't think they worked.
How did your weight loss plan go?
I kept saying, "I am going to do this". Even when I had my weak moments I would think of the clothes I wanted to fit into. My wish was to get into a nice pair of leather trousers, and now I'm happy to say I have succeeded in getting to my target weight and on my way to getting those trousers I always dreamed of.
How have your eating habits changed?
My eating habits are much healthier now - I used to never eat fruit and I always ate white bread - now I have cut alcohol to a minimum and most importantly sweets and fast foods are cut down from everyday to maybe once a month.
What's the best thing about having lost weight?
I have more energy to play with my son and I am not out of breath when I do my exercises.
What advice would you give to others who want to lose weight?
It's too hard to try and do it on your own, so I'd say the best piece of advice I could give someone is to find a Unislim class near you and join. The support you get from everyone else is great. I couldn't have done it on my own as I tried to do that for years.
