I remember my turning point so well,” says Caroline. ”My fiancé and I were out for the day; we'd been to the take away and were walking along the seafront, munching chips. We passed by some kids and they started making rude comments about my size. I was so hurt.” Caroline immediately joined Unislim and, after putting the low GI eating plan into practice, is now a shadow of her former self. “I can't start to describe the massive difference it's made to my life.”
“I'm a restaurant supervisor and so was always surrounded by food. My meals and snacks were on hand, and would normally be of the high fat variety, but I switched overnight.” Instead of croissants, pasties, curries and frequent fry-ups, Caroline now eats a healthy, low GI plan that includes plenty of variety.
“Yes, I'll still allow myself a trip to the chipper once a week, but I balance it with nutritious meals like muesli, grilled chicken breast, noodles and lots of fruit and vegetables.”
Caroline hit target in January this year. “It was wonderful, and you know, I'm still dropping sizes! I saw in the New Year wearing a halter neck dress I thought I could never get into – it's just the best feeling. I now love – rather than dread – shopping for clothes, and I think if I'd the money, I'd be buying even more!”
