Topic: First day Posted: 21 Feb 2009 at 6:33pm |
•I just survived my first day of the programme, it was quite good but i only ate 15 units, i am not hungry and dont know if this is healthy for to continue with.
I found the talk really motivating and also the short workout was motivating.
Our leader is really personal which makes the whole class closer and more comforting.
Also does anyone know where i can find the exact amount of units in foods. I like to be creative instead of following recipies.

Hi Michael,
I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your Unislim class. Please ensure that you eat at least 19 units per day, but really I advise all members never to eat less than 4 units off your daily allowance e.g. if you are on 25, I recommend that you eat at least 21. It would not be healthy for a man to continue on 15 units, its not possible to meet your daily nutirional needs on that amount, long term. Even though you did not feel hungry on the first day, that hunger could catch up, so ensure that you eat enough.
We have included the basic units in the back of your Eat Right for You booklet and our main unit guide ( YUG ) will be on sale in the classes this week for €5. This will give members units values for thousands of items along with a whole host of tips and ideas.
By getting creative with your meals you can add so much variety - why not make up your own little cookbook of foods that you like, then you can refer back to it whenever you want. Please keep posting, we look forward to following your progress.

Thanks Anne, I will do my best to eat more, at the weekend its easier anyway to eat under because you are eating home cooked meals.
However during the week i usually eat lunch out so it is usually higher units!
Thanks for replying!

Ok, I have been attending since the date above but it has been quite a rollercoaster ride if you wish, I had lost nearly a stone at one stage but i am only half way to that mark at the moment!
I am only a 2nd level student and attend with my mother who has given up hope, well she wants to go one week and not the next! My leader has been quite understanding of my situation with having to study and not having time to exercise for a very long period each week!(I had my exams last week) It is now summer and i have a new motivation but cannot seem to get my mother motivated! I don't want to go swimming because i feel uncomfortable once again and with a holiday to Turkey on the horizon in August I know i wont get away with wearing trackies and a tee. I really need some advice on how to encourage her!

Hi Michael,
Just reading through all the different posts and found yours.
Are you still attending Unislim?
Have you manage to get your mam interested again. You should get her to read over some of the posts to see if it can get her motivation going again. If you cannot get your mam to go to the classes with you, go on your own, you've been to class already so you know what to expect. Do not let your mam stop you from succeeding Michael, you never know if she sees you being successful then it might get her back into the swing of things.
Please feel free to join in all the other forums, its not just for the girls, men need support and motivation as well.

Hi Michael,
Just reading through the post and saw yours and just wanted to see how your getting on? I know what it's like when you are the only one in the house that's motivated. Especially if your not the one doing the cooking. Anyway I hope you have kept up with it and well on your way to the speedo's for this years summer hols.
