Hi There,

You will need to earn 1 maxi star for a 100mls of wine.  1 tbs (15g ) of cream would also be 1 maxi star.

Can carbs be saved and used another day? there are some days this week I have only used 3 carbs, is it possible to carry them over to another day if needed?

Hi Emily
It's not advisible to carry over carbs from one day to the next.  The power of the plan is maximizing on free foods while keeping  carbohydrates to the suggested quantities each day.  So even if you don't use all your carbs on one day  start the next  day afresh.

Hi Anne G.

What do you think of this typical days menu:
Breakfast; Porridge with raisins and skim milk
Snack: banana
Main meal: 2 scoops mash mixed with low fat spread, veg, couple slices roast chicken, gravy. Cup of tea with digestive biscuit.
Tea; Slice toast baked beans poached egg.
Apples and sometimes a low fat yogurt during the day 2 or wafer thin ham.
I dont feel hungry but i was under the weather last week and Im starting to lose motivation. Im doing the maxi plan at home, and i do have treats at the weekend. Im hopeless at drinking water too.Im feeling like falling off the wagon and theres easter eggs in the house..

Hi Curragh, you can have fish provided it doesn't have breadcrumbs or batter. If its the Donegal Catch without breadcrumbs or batter you can have it no problem. I would imagine Donegal Catch would be part of your carbohydrate allowance.

You can have up to 400ml of low fat milk a day for free or as much Slimline Milk as you would like for free.

Hi Curragh,
All white fish, without breadcrumbs or batter is lean protein.  Skimmed milk is a free protein and can be taken freely.  If using semi skimmed milk 400mls is the daily allowance.

Hi Bizzymom,

You are doing well. I have counted it all up for you. You had 4 carbs ( you can have 5 per day or 7 if you have more than 3 stone to lose )

You had 2 fruits - Raisins & Banana

1 fat - low fat spread.

Biscuit = 1 star treat.

All in all you are doing very well with it. Have the extra servings if you need them.

Now let's be real positive here. You are allowed to have treats, just earn them through exercise. If you don't want to earn them you really don't want them that bad. Only have a treat that you really enjoy, don't waste one on something that you half like. A planned treat is a REAL treat, an accidental one does not give as much pleasure. SO PLAN them.

Now, I challenge you with the water! You can drink it if you want to. MIND over MATTER. Put a no added sugar dilute into it eg Mi-Wadi or Robisons etc. I fill 2 x 750ml bottles per day and drink them over the course of the day. I am not good with doing it with glasses. I bring a bottle up to bed at night and from the time I wake up 'til the time I get up, I try to drink half of it. It really does give you a kick start for the day. Use your tracker as a challenge and tick them off. Regarding the Easter eggs, if you can not handle the temptation MOVE the temptation. Could you put them in the attic, in a garage....anywhere but in your house. Stay on the wagon.

Thank you Anne for your reply,
I made up the water and robinsons and i will get into drinking it today and over the hols. I think it is a good tip to start drinking before you get up. I am feeling more motivated now, I need a kick up the a-- sometimes.
Regards

hi fifi23, the unislim magazine is generally only available free in magazines or u get it in class a couple of times a year.. i got the most recent one by sending an email to unislim and asking them to post it out to me, so your best bet is to do that if there are still some left!!

Hi Jen,

Fillet steak is FREE
Turkey rashers and quorn sausages, I would treat as other protein.
Nescafe ...is 1.5 * treats BUT...why not make your own with skim / slimline milk and it's FREE

Keep at it!
