Hi All
Can someone tell me how to work out the no. of units I should be on a day, when I joined 5 weeks ago I was given all the info and literature for the maxi plan and while I think it's a very good plan I am curious to know about the unit plan too.

yeh its on page twenty one of your eat right for you book! it will depend on you height and weight. you may not have got that in your first week but you should get it on your second week. your leader will normally let you know how many units you should be on per day

Hi Lee Girl if you really want to lose the weight you must make the time to do it and that means making a class. You need the discipline of being weighed each week. How important is it to you, is it what you really want? You have 2 choices here; stop moaning about it and stay as you are or do something about it. Get motivated and make the time Annemarie

Hi Bridget Oh Girl can I encourage you to get to a Unislim class as soon as possible. The Maxi plan is just wonderful, you will lose weight while eating better than ever before. Get rid of those nerves and see for yourself how brilliant you can be. I heard a great saying the other day which was; Always go for what you think you cannot reach. Join your local Unislim class next week and get going. You will then be thrilled... JUST DO IT

Hi AnneMarie,
Thanks so much for the reply back. I really needed to hear that quote right now. I'm going to try to get to a local class tonight but my husband could very well have other ideas as he usually has something for me to do if i have plans. I need to lose this weight for ME. Thanks again. Bridget

Hi again Bridget I wonder did you get to a class yet? If not then make next week your first. If you keep on waiting until you have the time to do it..... it will never happen. I have a wonderful husband also who likes nothing better than bringing me fried bread for my breakfast and a bar of chocolate because he thinks I deserve it. I hide the chocolate and pretend I have eaten it and I dispose of the fried bread when he is not looking:) Sometimes I eat one slice. I keep on telling him not to buy chocolate so he turns up with an apple tart and ice cream instead. I have a member in one of my classes who was told she needed to lose 3 stone by her doctor. She lost the 3 stone and then told me .... I lost that 3 stone because I had to, now I want to lose another 3 stone but that is just for me. NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SLIM FEELS................... I will send you a pm to convince you of this:) You go girl and let nothing stop you:)

Did you ever think about maybe having a chat room on here. I know you can leave messages and stuff but I think it would attract more people if they could go online and chat generally about losing weight with unislim. personally speaking I like to use my class leader as much as I can but there are somedays when I have been bad I would just love to be able to say it to someone, anyone other than those i meet face to face. plus if youre having a moment where you want to share good moments or if youre having melt down over what you might eat (like the large packet of biscuits in the press) you can go on line and instead of waiting on a message maybe you can just put your thoughts right there and have an immdiate response.
Anyway its just a suggestion. Thank you for the site and forum.

Hi there, i just love this forum, its the main reason i joined unislim. As we live in a modern age, everyone is on-line, and its a good way of meeting new friends whether near or far.
There is nothing i would change about the forum, its easy to use and easy to search, maybe if we could edit our profiles more, maybe add siblings or chidren, on our profile page. I only just found out that u can add buddies so that is something i would enjoy doing.
The only thing is that most people dont know about the forum, maybe some advertising on tv or magazines. Even in class its not well known about, no posters or signs. This forum is good for everyone whether they are members or not and its a good way of sharing tips and advise for slimming. If the forum is advertised nationally im sure it would boost member numbers and therefore it would have more users which would make it more profitable for unislim.
Happy mum of 4, looking for some buddies to share with...

Id like to find out what day or times suits most on the run and very busy mums/dads.
As a new class leader starting classes in September 2010 in Athy, Carlow and Kilkenny the feedback from the public makes things happens. Lets start a discussion to see what are the best times for classes and best location for classes
eg
Preferred location:
Time of class:
Stay focused on your goal at all times.
Handy tip :Place a photo of your goal on your fridge or in your car to remind yourself of your goal

As a working parent, I find lunchtime best. Every time I join something in the evening, something seems to crop up.

Hi Cookie and Ellen Of course we will gladly answer your questions but if it is at all possible you will have the best support from a class where you will meet like minded people. You want to lose weight? You must put in the effort to do it.

Oh, I remember in my WW days, we used to use a site called chatzy. I've managed to login again and created a Unislim room, so if anyone wants to use it for chatting, send me a PM - btw it's free :)
