Hi Susie
We apologise for the inconvenience of the changing of the Whitehall class. This class has now been transferred to Glasnevin which is in Glasnevin Lawn Tennis Club, Ballymun Road on Tuesdays @ 6.45pm.
I would appreciate if you would call me to our Head Office on 1850 603020 where i can speak to you personally.
Kind Regards
Catherine

Hello,
Just an idea...It would be useful if we had any UNIT value updates added to a certain section of the site. The Unit Guide is very good and the Unitiser handy but would be helpful to have popular food Units added every month.
Also the extra sheets that we get in the Class for Christmas treats/ Easter eggs and Halloween foods Etc might also be handy as Like myself people may tend not to carry all these extra sheets around with them.
I and many others may also be willing to buy extra books such as
-More in depth eating out guides
-Unit books for certain supermarket Products
-Unislim Recipe books.
Really like the forum.

I ate a big bowl of stew today for lunch and am still starving! It worked out at 5 units.... i think it's because it's freezing. I'm even wearing my coat! So am going to be really good and have a nectarine and slice of melon. The I'm off for a long walk! At this rate I'll be giving myself a gold star this evening. so i better lose weight in my class!! x

Hey im new to the forums but have been a member of Unislim for a while now...just want to say it was the best thing i ever joined in my life! Can't believe the difference in me now but some things i still cant get to grips with like 1. how to put a vegetable into my mouth! :) LOL 2. How do you guys find the motivation to go out walking in this terrible weather???
Is it me being lazy or is anyone else like this? I have been so good so far this year but that's no good if im not exercising! Someone please help to motivate me!! LOL!

Hi Dainty
Well I cant help you on the vegetable front- you either like them or hate them! Why not try different recipes with the vegetables. I actually love the Zero Unit Soup which is full of vegetables!!
With regard to the walking- I am the first person to shy away from walking if its a little bit cold- but as my unislim leader says- the first step outside the door is the hardest. I go with a friend and we have lovely chats. It doesnt feel like work at all. And I always feel much better after the walk. Believe me - just get the motivation to do it.

Hi Dainty,
Bailey has given you some great advice there.
With regards to vegetables as Bailey said you either love then or hate them but as long as you find at least a few fruit and veg you like you should be able to get your 5+ servings a day. What about trying a new veg every week. Most vegetables can be cooked in a number of ways, steamed, roasted and a lot of the time if you are buying your food in tesco they will give serving suggestions. Just keep experiementing!
As for walking, I've signed myself up for 2 5k walks this year so that's my motivation. I'm also getting up at 6am at the minute and going out for my walk, the first week was tough getting up so early but already 4 weeks in it's just part of my daily routine and I'm up, dressed and out the door before I can really think about it!! Once you've made the effort of getting dressed and out the door regardless of the weather you don't really want to turn back!
As Bailey also said walking with a friend is also a really good idea but if you can't find a willing friend then music is the next best thing to keep you going.
Hope that helps,
Angela

Thanks Bailey & Angela for the help!
I have taken on board trying to eat one veg a day - there actualy not as bad as what i thought!!
Also went out walking tonite with my sister & again it wasn't as bad as i thought! I am really motivated now and will contiue with the tips you both gave me - i will keep trying different veg & also stick to my 30min walk a day!
Just wanna say this forum really is the place to get help & advice - without it i'd have sat on my backside all nite and still wouldn't have had a veg past my lips!
Thanks girls & Unislim keep up the good work!

Hi Girls During this cold weather its hard to drink a lot of water so why not try green tea. Robt Roberts do a very nice one with added lemon and twinings do several different varieties. Green tea is great for reducing bloat and speeding up the metabolism apart from all the rest of its fantastic health giving properties. It is great for energy. However its very important that you make it correctly or it can be bitter. Dont use boiling water. Let the water stand for a while after boiling and then put into the cup and leave to stand for 2 mins and you will have the perfect cup of tea. Aim to drink at least 3 cups a day and Id love to hear your results after one week

Hi,
I would be quite interested in hearing anyone's results from drinking green tea. I drink quite a lot of it and especially in the last month would be drinking at least 4 mugs of it a day and just the odd glass or 2 of water. Unfortunately I've also been feeling quite bloated this last month and I've only managed to lose 3lbs in 5 weeks.
I'm still drinking the green tea as I really like it and it keeps me warm in work but I have not found any of the benefits you mentioned Annmarie. To be honest this week I've tried drinking at least a litre of water again with the green tea and I'm finding that I feel less bloated. Maybe it's to do with something I'm eating as well, I don't know yet!
I don't want to put anyone of it as I highly recommend it as a way to get drinking more water but I'm just interested to hear other peoples experiences.
