Fiona Gratzer, Managing Director of Unislim is nominated for IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2011
It’s been a busy year for Unislim and what a great way to finish of the year with the news that Fiona Gratzer, Managing Director of Unislim, has been shortlisted for IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year 2011. The shortlist was announced last week and the nominees in each of the five categories are a strong group of Ireland’s leading businesswomen.
Fiona was ‘born’ in to the job having taken over the reins from her mother Agnes McCourt. ‘Standing Still’ is not part of Fiona’s vocabulary. Having successfully launched the Shape UP Ireland campaign in January 2011 in partnership with the Irish Daily Mail. Fiona was also the person behind the fun and innovative National Compliments Day which had its inargural launch on 23rd January 2011. Fiona is passionate about Social networking and has been the driving force behind Unislim’s Facebook page which has achieved over 10,000 friends since April 2011. The launch of the new FREE Unislim APP on the Apprentice this October, which has had over 20,000 downloads and was No 1 in iTunes, is testament to Fiona’s passion and hard work.

Now in its fifth year, the awards aim to recognise and celebrate inspirational women in the Irish business world and cover five categories: Businesswoman of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year; Young Businesswoman of the Year (under 35 years); Professional Businesswoman of the Year, and new this year, Creative Businesswoman of the Year, aimed at women who’ve forged a successful career from pursuing their creative passions.
Each nomination is subject to a rigorous judging process with judges drawn from the worlds of business, finance, media and academia, meaning that the shortlisted nominees truly are at the top of their fields. The ultimate winners in each category will be announced at an invite only event at The Merrion Hotel Dublin on Wednesday November 30.
