Unislim has teamed up with The Irish Daily Mail to offer two families the chance to give their lives a complete makeover by take part in the ‘Shape Up Your Family Challenge 2012’.

The two families who have been chosen to take part in Unislim’s Shape Up Your Family Challenge are Annette and Michael Magee from Killiney, Co Dublin and their daughters Aine and Sarah and Tara and Paul Reddin from Walkinstown, Dublin 12 and their daughters Taylor and Lexie.  Each family will join Unislim on a complete lifestyle makeover to help change their eating habits, develop new cooking skills, adopt a healthier diet and become more physically active. They’ll be working with Unislim’s top nutritionists, fitness experts and motivational coaches from around the country to come up with exciting family friendly activities and challenges to get them fitter and healthier.

Week 1 – To kick start the 6 week challenge, each family will undergo a full medical check courtesy of Barrow Medical, Dublin 4. They’ll then attend their Unislim class each week and follow Unislim’s Food Maximizing weight loss plan.  They will be given lots of support each week from their Unislim Leader.

Week 2 – Each family will meet with Unislim’s personal trainer Paddy Cunnigham and he will devise a special fitness programme and weekly challenges for each family.  Paddy was runner up of the Biggest Loser UK 2011 and has completely transformed his life having lost over 6 stones.

Week 3 – A Unislim nutritionist will visit each of the family’s home and Shape Up their fridge and offer top tips on savvy shopping for slimmer’s.

Week 4 – Dublin’s top cookery school Cooks Academy will show the families some quick, tasty and inexpensive healthy meals on a budget.

Week 5 – Both families will meet with a life coach/motivator who will help them create new positive healthy habits.

Week 6 – Clara Halpin, Arnotts personal shopper, will show both families how to dress for their shape.

Each family will blog and write about their Shape Up experience on Unislim.com and at the end of the challenge the mentors will judge the families on their success, commitment and lifestyle changes.  One lucky family will win an amazing trip to Fuerteventura, courtesy of Sunway Holidays.
