Starting out and looking at how much weight you want to lose can be daunting. We put huge expectations on our heads, set ourselves crazy targets and can end up falling at the first hurdle. But, really, losing weight doesn't have to be that hard. With Forever Free, losing weight is a breeze. Our members all agree that they eat more food while living the Forever Free lifestyle than they did pre-Unislim. Its all about making good choices, thinking positively, eating well and feeling great in yourself. Here are our top tips to help you lose that stone, without having to work too hard!
Declutter That Kitchen
Out with the old, in with the new! Having some "me time" with the kitchen and getting your fridge, freezer and cupboards in order will really help you in the long run. Make a list of the kitchen essentials and staple items that will help you throughout the week, items like low cal spray oil, low fat butter, lighter than light mayonnaise and lots of Forever Free foods. By clearing out any lingering comfort foods, like crisps, sugary treats or chocolate, and having delicious fresh fruit, low cal yoghurt's on hand, you will have a better chance of making healthier choices when it comes to snack time.
Carb Free Day
Kick your weight loss efforts up a notch by adding a Carb Free Day to your week. Carbohydrates are so important to the Forever Free plan, but it's perfectly fine to go just one day without every now and then. Start the day with a fluffy Forever Free omelette, with your favourite veggies, like onions, mushrooms and colourful peppers - tasty and filling. For lunch, whip up a big crunchy salad served with tuna and a side dressing of balsamic vinegar and cracked pepper. If you need a little extra sustenance, enjoy a cup of Forever Free veggie soup in the late afternoon. For dinner, marinate and grill a chicken fillet and serve on a bed of yummy stir fried vegetables and roasted butternut squash cubes. Delish! You will really see a difference on the scales.
Hit The Ground Running
We have all heard the saying "Eat Less, Move More" - well with Unislim's Forever Free plan, this isn't necessarily true, we want you to eat more (of the right foods) AND move more. By working 3-5 workouts into your weekly routine, you will really see a difference. Not just in your weight loss results, but in your energy levels, your body shape and in your mood. You don't need to join a fancy gym either! Just pop your runners on and head out for a brisk walk or a light jog. You will earn valuable GoYums (try not spend them for even better results) and you will arrive home feeling great. The hardest part of working exercise into your routine is the initial step out the door - once you are out, there is no stopping you!
Beat The Snack Attack
Ask yourself "Where and when am I most likely to overeat?" and write out the answers. For some people the munchies come calling at around 4pm, when sitting at your desk - a quick cup of tea can lead to some snack-time sabotage in terms a sneaky biscuit or 4. For others, the fridge comes calling at around 8pm, when your favourite TV show starts and you feel like having "something nice". Once you have determined your "weak spots", look at how you can create a healthier environment for yourself at that time. If at your desk, why not keep a little tub of grapes, nuts or raisins in your drawer and enjoy them with a herbal tea. Remember, no one ever wanted to eat a tea cake with a peppermint tea! In the evening times, why not save one of your snacks and enjoy some frozen FREE yoghurt, with berries, or a low cal Hot Chocolate. Be prepared!
Stop Stopping Yourself!
We can be our worst enemies when it comes to losing weight. Negative thoughts like "I failed before" or that we simply "can't do it" will really hold you back, but come on, who are we fooling! We can do ANYTHING we put our minds to. Using self affirmations like "I am doing great", "I will lose 7lbs in 4 weeks" and visualising ourselves looking slimmer and feeling healthier, will actually help us stay focussed and feeling positive. The first few moments in the morning are so important, use them to adjust your mindset for the day. By looking in the mirror every morning and telling yourself you are fantastic and are going to have a super successful day, you will plant a positive seed that will grow and flourish throughout the day. Nothing can stop you!
