I was on a night out when I finally decided to lose weight. We were in a pub and there was a really good band playing. I got very hot dancing, but I wouldn’t take my cardigan off because I was so conscious of my arms. I wasn’t fit enough to stay up dancing, and I went home crying. The next day I decided to join Unislim. Since then, I’ve never looked back. I’ve even totally changed my style. Before I used to wear layers to cover up, but now I’ll wear skirts and sleeveless tops, and I’m feeling confident enough to wear lots more colour instead of just black.”


Added Incentive

“I was so lazy before, but part of it was that I had no energy because I was eating so badly. I was a big junk food fan. Now, I go walking four times a week. Even if it’s raining I’ll still go out. When I saw the weight coming off, I looked forward to going to the class every week.

Since then I’ve become much more confident in myself – I even got engaged! I’m not getting married until 2011, but I cant wait to go shopping for my wedding dress!”


Kitchen Confidential

· Breakfast: “I have a yoghurt and fruit or a bowl of Special K in the morning.”

· Lunch: “I really like pitta bread with tuna and sweetcorn. I used to plaster my bread with butter or mayonnaise, but now I use them really sparingly.”

· Dinner: “My dinner usually consists of fish and potatoes or bacon and cabbage.

· Snack: “I choose a piece of fruit. No more junk food!”
